We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Workshop Technician – Hoist. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.

The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.

The Workshop Technician – Hoist will perform aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance level inspections, services, and repairs to maintain the Rescue Hoist System (RHS) in a safe, and serviceable condition. Carries out directives from the Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:

• Performs equipment inspection, removal and installations, operational checks, functional checks, assembly and disassembly, troubleshooting, and fault rectification on all Rescue Hoist Systems and any other assigned system in accordance with all applicable maintenance manuals and safety directives.

• Requisitions all parts and maintains shop and bench stock for the repair of RHS and any other assigned system.

• Inspects and prepares all forms and records in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the RHS and related components.

• Responsible for all tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.

• Education allowance of 20,000- 30,000 AED per child, up to 3 children, between ages 3- 19

• Medical insurance including optical and dental for 2 adults and 3 children

• End of service payment (21 days salary after 1 year’s service and up to 5 year’s service then 30 days salary for each year after 6 years)

• Annual Vacation Ticket tickets for candidate, spouse and up to 3 dependents (who are under the employee’s sponsorship) in a contract calendar year

About You:

• High School, completion of a formal RHS training course from an accredited military or civilian school.

• Formal company documented on the job training (OJT) is acceptable.

• Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) applicable to Rescue Hoist preferable.

• Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years working with Rescue Hoist Systems.

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

• Knowledgeable on Microsoft Office and associated programs is desirable.

• Must be willing to travel or relocate to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), for short or long rotations, in support of the company’s mission requirements.

• Possession of a valid driving licence is required to operate customer’s motor vehicles.
