About the Company:
Our client is is one of the largest independent aerospace and defence companies in the world delivering innovation and excellence in engineering, support solutions and services in the air, on land and at sea.
We are looking for experienced C130J Aircraft Engineers, to be responsible for:
Rectification and repair of the Hercules C130J aircraft airframe and propulsion systems (and when required Role Equipment), including system fault finding, functional testing, embodiment of modifications, technical instructions and scheduled maintenance in accordance with relevant Air Publications and Job Guides.
They will comply with procedures and practices laid down in local Royal Air Force engineering regulations and company management system procedures (MSP), or as directed by the relevant Team Leader.
Tasks also include the compilation and co-ordination of Maintenance Work Orders, both manually and using the computerised LITS system.
Where authorised, supervise Aircraft Engineers carrying out their normal working activities.
Ensure all quality and regulatory requirements and standards are maintained.
Where authorised, certify work carried out by the first signatory operatives within the scope of his or her individual approvals.
Manage internal and external relationships with customers, aircraft tradesmen, other departments and take an active role to mentor staff.
Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.
This position can require varying work hours, on days and / or shifts in support of customer requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Aeronautical apprenticeship and/or military equivalent and recent experience of mechanical systems.
Proven track record in the Aerospace industry and evidence to support this (preferably evidence of certification / approvals / authorisations).
Have relevant experience of aircraft mechanical systems.
Possess a sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
Hold a current UK Driving Licence.
Capable of working in confined spaces/aircraft fuel tank entry.
Eyesight colour perception suitable to achieve airfield driving permit.
Have relevant experience of LITS.
Previous C130J experience.
Must have the right to work in the UK
